Hi guys,

i'm jit and i'm making a feasibility study about the tshirt printing business and i just wanted to ask you guys if how much are the equipments used in your business and what type of equipment it is...i.e. a printer, et al.

i hope you guys will help me and maybe i'll start a business pretty soon if it all goes well..

their are alot of variables to consider when answering you question.

Equipment is either MANUAL or AUTO.
Manual... will be cheaper but cost more in man hours.
Auto will cost A LOT MORE but speeds printing

I would say contact an equipment dealer like mrprint.com or even nazdar.com and get some quotes.

Manual press you pull the squeegee by hand. Auto pulls the squeegee for you as well as rotate platens and flash. You still have to load and unload shirts. There are many different levels of auto presses.

Automatic is still referring to screen printing.

Straight from the computer is referring Direct To Garment or DTG.

One other process involves printing either inkjet or laser transfers
which must then be heat pressed on using a commercial heat press.

DTG is more of a retail machine.

Can no way keep up with an AUTO in production time.

DTG is a waste of money at this point. Until they get the technology right.
