Ink changing colour with use on screen

Post by Atom »

Hi ... just joined, I am quite an experienced printer so hope I will be able to solve some problems in the future...
Here is my problem now...speedball acrylic ink on paper..dark colour mixed from two or three colours plus white and black probably..area of flat colour on the design, all works lovely until I have to move some of the ink from the sides of the screen to mix with the stuff that has been squeegeed across..the ink that has been 'worked' has changed colour slightly, it has to be mixed in very very carefully wth the other ink which means cleaning the squeegee as well otherwise streaks appear in the print which are sometimes not visible until dried. Is not really a viable option especially as you can't be sure it has been mixed enough til the print has dried. Studio is quite cold and quite humid atm (London innit?)...might have relevance?
