Hey Everyone,

I couldn't find a more appropriate thread to post my question to, I hope it doesn't fall too off-topic here.

We are currently using this emulsion: http://www.fotec.ch/wp-content/uploads/ ... 019_en.pdf, and expose our screens to an old UV lamp, that I can't give much specs about.

The problem is that, due to moving we can no longer use this old 3-phase lamp, and we will have to switch to a mono-phase exposure unit.

So the question is: will the above mentioned emulsion stiffen to the light emitted by this device: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3Wyrva0bSk?

I know it is not a conventional type of lamp, but I'm curios if it would work?

Any help or suggestion would be welcome!

No. That is for a band setup on stage. You can use unfiltered blacklight flourescent tubes in a shop light setup. Get several 4' two bulb shop lights, set them in rows and wire them together. Your exposure time will be around 4.5 minutes. If you do very fine detail or halftone work you will need a single point setup. A metal halide bulb will do that for you. You will have to adjust distance and time to suit needs of your work and do a step wedge test to figure exposure time.
