Hello,

I have a customer who needs me to print his logo on bikinis which are made of 80% Nylon and 20% Spandex. Can anyone tell me what kind of ink I can use on this fabric or of any additives I can add to plastisol or water-based inks that will work? It needs to adhere, not bleed and be washfast (as they are, afterall bikinis).

Any advice is appreciated (relevant advice even more so)

Thank you for your time.

union makes a clear (or white) stretch ink / additive for materials like yours: http://www.unionink.com/

its in the side menu under: Unistretch UNST

or One Sroke Inks makes the nylostrech series in a variety of colors:

Hope this helps!

Union also makes a great ink I use for things like this called Althletic Gloss. It stretches with no cracking.

I had a client once that wanted a job like this done, I recommended they got embroidery done. I don't see them printing that big on a bikini anyways. The embroidery turned out fine and it was a problem solved. Last thing you want is a female trying it on and the ink stretching more then it should and having a TO'd women. Let me know if you would like to go this route we offer embroidery.

Thanks,

Scott
