I'm using the same emulsion and exposure unit I've used for years. I moved my shop from Georgia to Texas and everytime I attempt to create a screen it washes completely out. Any thoughts? Thank you

Re: Emulsion Washes Out After Exposure
There is only one thing it can be, the emulsion is not curing all the way. First if you are using any different chemicals to clean the screen look into that second, when coating be sure to let screens dry in a closed area with a good quality space heater on high pointed towards them a fan in there too will help, if you are exposing within 2-3 hrs of coating that will cause it to wash out, third it could be your bulb i have had a fairly new bulb under exposing in the past. Fourth depending on how much many coats of emulsion your putting on i would up your exposure time, try 3min and see if the emulsion still washes out, if it does but not as bad then up your time again. Honestly i have had weird emulsion problems that are impossible too solve many times best you can do is switch emulsion (Ulano is very good) and check every step of your screen process because there is a problem hidden somewhere.

Check your water. I advise using deionized water for diluting the emulsion, cleaning the screens, washing, etc. Hard water may contains some minerals that may inhibit cure of the emulsion (e.g. Calcium Carbonate "lime", etc)
