Mixing Inks
Found a lot of threads on this, but none that really helped. Does someone have a mixing chart to make colors that are for small orders and we dont have or want to have gallons on hand, keep cost down. We have a small 24 shirt order that is calling for Brown, any help would be great.

You can buy a pantone book with the formulae for every colour.Patsiesus wrote:Found a lot of threads on this, but none that really helped. Or you can do it the old fashioned way, get a piece of white stock and start smearing color with your finger until you get what you want. Once you know what colors to mix together, make enough for your print run. Keep good notes and a sample so you can reproduce it at a later date if needed.
Re: Mixing Inks
Collect all your old ink, whatever the colour & and keep it in a bucket - that's brown.
Re: Mixing Inks
Seeing if others out there are have trouble matching the pantone book with coatable mixing inks. Seems every ink company tried is same problem. Does anyone mix inks with no problems at all matching pantone book with coatable mixing inks and what ink and series is it.

Re: Mixing Inks
We use water based inks and mix only as we need it. Matsui offers a great pigment system that really helps keep your cost down.
