Hokie,

There are films that will work with any inkjet,
in Australia Coates Distribute a product called ACCUART,
I am sure that it would be available in the states,
it is not real chaep though, it is similar to fastfilm etc,
just watch your exposure time and make your blacks 100k 10M.

Can you outsource film seps. just make sure that the customers is aware
of film prices, so you don't lose out.

A good printer and film is ideal but we all have to start somewhere.

if you are using an inkjet printer try using some kimoto silkjet film . ive been using it for about 1 year and the resulta are pretty good. just dont print on the smoth side cuz the ink will smear and dirty your heads. we are using an epson 3000 printier. its about 5 years old but it works. i requested a Xante laser printer but i still havent seen or heard anything from the boss about it yet.

GCC Technologies(800-422-7777) has a laser printer with capabilities to print up to 13" x 35". The model i have is an "Elite XL 20/600". I print on California Vellum(888-276-5486) w/sizes 8.5" x 11" up to 13" x 18.5". The vellum works great on 95% of my jobs. If i need to do some really high end designs i sub out for films.

Buy an OYO Techstyler (800 747-7651) with an extended warranty for head replacements. Much better than ink jet.
