Hey, I'm new to screen printing...

Just wondering if anyone can help me out.

Is there any special method used when printing on mesh shorts or a basketball jersey?
I would assume the ink might not stick well.

If you have any tips let me know!

Thanks!

There are indeed special inks that need to be used. If they are polyester, you need a low-bleed ink (or a good low-bleed underbase). If it's nylon, you will need an additive. I know Rutland Ink and Union Ink both have products that will accomplish what you need. Other companies do as well, I'm sure.

Another method would be to use a heat-transferred material such as Thermoflex.

Hope this helps!
