Need help choosing a new printer, we primarily use it for printing on velum and film, also print out some color artwork and use for heat transfer.
Looking at the Epson 3899 Pro, is that adequate or are there less expensive alternatives. We dont need to print any wider than 13"

Most Epsons will be adequate though the smaller ones eat ink.
Canon iX4000/5000 are also pretty good.
Ignore the visual appearance of the positive, they have higher uv density than visual density so films that you can see through clearly will still act as masks.
