A few newbie questions

Hi all,
I'm looking to start up a very small screen printing setup, something that would be a hobby that also pays for itself. The market I'm going after is also a niche market, at first I'm looking at to do single color prints. If there is a demand for my first design, I would be intersted in geting into doing other one color designs or possibly some two color designs. But two color prints and even other one color designs would be a long way off. My intent isn't to open a screen printing shop and do customer designs or do big runs of shirts for commerical accounts, so here are my two newbie questions.
I have found some DIY plans for making a four color press, but what I'm looking for plans for a single color tee shirt press. Something that is a simple and straight forward design. Does anyone have a link to a simple single color DIY single color tee shirt press?
The customer base I'm going after would be expecting to have tee shirts completely made in the USA, made in and using US materials. I have been told before that Hanes is made in the USA, can anyone confirm this? If not, what brand is made in the US?
I have made my living doing tee shirts for several years as a airbrusher, so I'm not a complete stranger to working with textiles. After typing this it also brought up another question for you folks...
Will my heat press I use for heat setting acyrlic airbrush paint also work for curing water based tee shirt ink? I'm not looking for high production, but just starting off it would be one less thing I need to buy.
