Curving Text
Does anyone know if there is an easy way to curve text in Corel X3? I'm trying to fit the text to a path but getting a curved path seems to be a challenge.
Draw a circle/oval to desired curve. Select your text then add curve to group (hold shift and select oval or circle) in text flyout select fit text to path. Afterward with both objects selected you will have a toolbar at top for adjustments. After adjusting to your needs you can go to arrange/break text apart to seperate your text from your graphic.

Draw a circle
create a text box and type your text
convert text to artistic text
Select both text and circle, then select Text in the menu bar and select "fit text to path"

Why in the world would you use a bitmap edit software to create vectored text?

Some people just use Photoshop. If you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail.d fleming wrote:Why in the world would you use a bitmap edit software to create vectored text?
It can be so much easier in Illustrator/Corel. Fitting text to path is the easy way, there are a zillion others.
