Starting out

Hi, I am new here. I have some experience with screen printing in school. I want to continue outside of school.

I was wondering if anyone could give me a sort of list or lowdown of the basic things that I need and possibly any links to any of the materials. I know I need screens/frames, emulsion, ink, squeegees, etc.

I don't need a press or anything like that, I am not running a business. I just need the basic stuff at the moment.

Again, just wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of where I could order this stuff. Thank you.

Best,
C

Hi Gravelheadwrap,

I order stuff through silkscreeningsupplies.com

I also happen to have a simple 1 color press that I am getting ready to put up on ebay. If you are interested just email me and I'll give you all the details. I used it for about a year and just upgraded to a 6 color press. I would let you have it at a good price and I would include most of what you need to get started.

Good luck,

Mandy

Search for a local supplier to ensure cheaper shipping.

My local supplier actually charges more than the company I currently order from. I live in Nc. and the nearest company in Atlanta, Georgia charges me more than the one I mentioned above that is based in Washington.
