Printing through two layers of fabric

Post by Toonska »

Hello everyone,
I am completely new to screen printing and I have a question.

I have watched lots of videos on how to screen print; but what if you want to print on a shirt that is two layers thick?

I have a project where i will be sewing a shirt and there are going to be seams along the edges (the neck line, arm holes, and body hole) that are going to be turned inside out so it looks nice when finished. Effectively it would be like putting a t-shirt inside another t-shirt and trying to print on those two layers.

What would happen?

Is this advised?

One thing I would like to add is that you would still be able to pull the layers apart even when sewn together, even after printing. I don't care what the other side looks like as long as the print looks nice on the outside.

Thank you in advance for your responses.
