Screenprinting Technique

Post by regcak »

I am starting to screen print and would like to use hand cut letters to print on a t-shirt rather than printing out a design on transparency paper. This design would most likely be used multiple times for sale/distribution. Woud you recommend just creating a stencil to screen print our use emulsion to create the screen to last longer. If you think emulsion is necessary, how would you go about doing that with hand cut letters?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would go with emulsion. Arrange and tape your pieces to a piece of transparency and then create the stencil. But remember pieces that allow light to filter through may not yield a good screen. I hope this helps.

In screen printing technique it involves creating stencils and using this stencils apply a layers of ink on the printing surface, there are different stencils for each color. Screen printing is best for design. http://waivestar.com.au
