HELP! printing on textured painted part

Post by Wormy »

so i have these metal parts that have a pritty rough texture paint on them. i have printed on textured parts before, but none this rough. i am having issues getting ink in the valleys while still holding definition.
I am using Enthone 50 series solvent inks, 70 durometer squeegee and i have tried 305 and 230 mesh screens. i have also tried both pushing and pulling strokes and thinning out the ink with both 1/16 inch and 1/8 off contact. and even a new squeegee blade, but every time i ether have tons of voids or i have bleeding and jagged lines. Any tips would be great, thanks

Sometimes it just can't be done pretty. Like golf towels. You may have to track down someone near you that does pad printing.
