I have a project I am thinking about doing and need some advise. The look I am trying to acheive is a washed out or faded look to a new print. It needs to look as if the print has been on the shirt for a long time and is washing out, or that it is a very light print.
Any ideas on how to achieve this?

You need to make or buy a distressed filter to apply to your art before you print your film. Using higher mesh counts than normal for the art being printed, plus a purposefully crappy squeegie technique can add to the effect. One thing I've read of folks doing is to take a piece of paper, wad it up, flatten it out somewhat, and paste that to your platen, then spritz that with your platen adhesive and print away with a relatively light stroke, so that the texture of the wrinkled paper affects the print.
