Hello All!

Just got on this board looking for help along the way. Semi new to the industry and started to really amp up my business.
I have been using my HP inkjet all-in-one printer to print film positives at this point. Printing on plain old 8.5x11 transparencies.

So......

I want to get a new printer. I was looking on the Ryonet site (silkscreeningsupplies.com or whatever it is). They have these package deals with an Epson printer, MAXBLACK system and rip software. So 2 questions I guess:

1. What is a good printer? Would a smaller high quality Epson be good? Like this one.......(http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/jsp/ ... C11C655001

2.Do you need a special ink system like Ryonet's MaxBlack? (http://www.silkscreeningsupplies.com/bl ... er-package)
Is that really necessary?

I am just starting out and starting to get a few jobs here and there, I do want to keep costs down.
I want films darker than what have been coming out of my HP (they do work, but takes a little more to rinse out the imprint on the screen) but don't want to spend a fortune.

Any answers would be helpful.....Thanks everyone

Brian

Canon ix4000 or the equivalent A4 printer (they use the same ink) will work or any Epson.
You don't need any third party system to get good results, try Ghostscript/Ghostview for halftones.
