Entry Level Automatic

I am considering the jump to an automatic. I don't need anything too large however. Can anyone offer advice on a setup? Would like the possibility of using existing manual wood/metal frames if possible. I do good quantities of 1-3 color jobs that often run 300-500 pieces each. I sell and print all my stuff except for what I job out to an automatic shop. My payouts annually to the contract printer are probably close to the cost of buying my own setup. Need advice as to associated equipment required also. Thanks!

What is the general consensis on when to go to an automatic press, at what average volume should you upgrade to an automatic?

I am thinking about upgrading my press but I do not feel that I have enough volume for and automatic.

Shold I just buy a newer more efficient manual press. I have a Lawson 6 color/ 4 station, but the registration takes for ever and it doesn't work up to my standards.

Anyone know of a better quality press maybe like Vastex or M & R?

I'm selling a M&R Guantlet s five color station. I bought it rebuilt from Equipment zone ( in New Jersey). Only used it for like no more then 200 shirts. Made a mistake. Thought I would get the hang of it but never had time. The setup is complete, vastex econored54, flash cure, an advantage 150, and the 10 hp aircompressor to run it. Bought it all for 25k
looking for 20k or best offer. Give me a call at 732-745-1700 ask for Homar.
