Printing 50% opacity layers...

Post by carnal »

Hello

I'm designing a shirt which will probably gonna be screenprinted, and as I've never seen the actual printing process I don't know how would a layer that is 50% opacity act when printed. Actually the layer has full opacity but just some parts are erased with a 50% op. brush to appear darker.

Will this have the same effect when printed? Or do I need to separate the darker part as a different (100% opacity) layer?

Here's a little nasty looking sample to give you a better idea what I'm talking about.

Draw anything your heart desires. Take the artwork to an experienced print shop and they will do the separations as needed. If you have various color densities the printer will use halftones to get the effect you are after. Halftone work is not appropriate for an amateur shop, take your art work to an established pro.
