unable to reclaim screens

Post by steph »

I used Kiwocol Emulsion and forgot to add the sensitizer powder to the mix. Now I cannot reclaim 5 screens and 3 of them are new. If you have any suggestions on what products I can use that will remove the emulsion please respond. I have tried Clorox, Degreaser, Paint Thinner and Oven Cleaner. Sounds crazy but I will have to purchase new screens anyway if I can't find a solution.

Sounds like you've tried everything but stencil remover. Here's just one:

Sounds like it. Bleach is often a good substitute. If you lay some paper down and let the screen soak for a while. or if you have sodium hyperchlorite. If you have a pool you will probably have some...essentially concentrated bleach don't let it get on your clothes...or you can get serious and buy some recommended stencil remover.. and a high pressure cleaner or nozzle for your hose...hope this helps
