New at screenprinting need help

Post by country side »

I am pretty new at the screenprinting business, I have only done some simple designs and some 2 and 3 color prints, I have a friend who races cars an wanted me to do him a race car shirt. We sent the photo to Artwork Source and they did the color seperations for us. They have it set up a 4 color design, with color fades from on color to another. How do I get this on screens? I think it has something to do with halftone dots, not sure how to do this. We would really like to talk to someone about this, Does anyone have any ideas of who would be willing to talk to us. If it take a certain kind of printer, mesh counts, emulisons, burner, ink????????? Again we are very green at this and could really use some help :(

Many ways to do it - best way is with a RIP/Postscript print combo, if it's a one-off try Ghostscript and AdobePS. About 55lpi should be fine.
230tpi mesh. Some ink and emulsion would be helpful, depends what effect you're looking for.
