THE US ECONOMY (or is it IGOTNOMONEY)

Post by ROADSIDE »

YES.... Here it is people... The only thing you get in the way of a bail out.... THE SCREEN PRINTING FORUM!

I started this thread because we are all feeling the pinch of "Old Man Capitalism"™

What is capitalism?
Capitalism is the economic system in which the means of production are owned and controlled privately, for profit, rather than by the government. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capitalism)
So Our government is pre-spending our tax dollars to give it to HUGE corporations (AIG,FORD,GM...etc.) so these companies dont fail and go out of business.
In the case of a company like Indy Mac Bank (which holds a note of mine) they failed and the government took them over.... Indy Mac Federal Bank.
I would say that now the government owns one of my houses..... hmmm that dont sound like capitalism any more.
Who were those vodka drinking cats we had beef with during the "Cold War"? OH YEAH... The Russians. Weren't they Communists?
What is Communism?
Communism is a socioeconomic structure and political ideology that promotes the establishment of an egalitarian, classless society based on common ownership of the means of production and property in general. Karl Marx posited that communism would be the final stage in human society, evolving into a classless, stateless society of "pure communism".

My point is this.... If there is a CEO,CFO,COO,ODB,OPP WHATEVER! at these monster corps and they are all making Millions a year. Why are they not taking a pay cut?
I own my business and when things get bad I cut the fat and take a paycut. In the case of FORD or GM or Citigroup they will lay off 25,000 people in one week and the execs to lose a penny?
Those of you that know me on here know I preach CHARGE MORE, WORK LESS but I am also self made and not looking for the government to bail me out. If I spend to much money or overstock the shop.... Well that just means I am an idiot and I will have to fix it.

If Ford or GM would like to hire me to fix their problems... My salary would be less then $200K per year.
One of the best commercials I have seen is the one with firemen voting for clean water.... PRICE LESS!
How many executives does it take to build a hybrid.... NONE Most of them cant use a tool unless its in their blackberry.

Post your IGOTNOMONEY, i mean economy rants is this thread....
.... I can give you my opinion but I can't tell you if it's right or not.

Well I would like to say that I would put my faith in capitalism any day, I would not even consider socialism

This country has been headed toward socialism for around 60 - 70 years now, and the socialistic ambitions have been here from the get go (read the federalist papers). Government buyouts of the poor, middle or even rich do not even get considered in a capitalist society, if you read the Communist Manifesto or any other related topic on Marx, Stalin or a voice for socialism you will hear the exact same thing. There is a tactic in socialism and its described as forcing societal evolution, it basically says to put one group up against another and eventually you will have both groups (only my caption of the tactic), that you need constant turmoil between two various groups if you want the society to evolve toward socialistic utopia, (rich / poor, insured / uninsured, gay / straight, black / white, American / Hispanic) the list could go on. This tactic is the essence of government buyouts (for the rich), it is text book socialism and if you do not except that as truth, please try looking at some history and don’t get that history lesson from "THE HISTORY CHANNEL" :) Please

Government has no place in buying out anyone for any reason, at any time. The Governments role (used to be) protect, defend and serve, now it is, take, own, control and take some more. If someone falls on hard times, be it a company, a school, a community or a household, there are always people to step up and step in to help those in hard times, its American (or used to be), and it’s in our blood, when the government steps in and says HEY ALL...GIVE ME YOUR MONEY...I WILL DISPERSE YOUR MONEY TO ALL THOSE THAT NEED IT, first thing that happens (and has happened since the early 50's) people stop helping, why should they, they already paid the government to take care of it, second thing that happens, :-) pony up some more, we have all kinds of needs to meet out here people (ummm....basically pockets get bigger in alot of the places I don’t care to aid in)

I make better choices than the government........99.98765% of the time!

WOW this post should be getting more attention then it is.

There are so many new people getting into Screen printing... Just think how many more companies will pop up once the big 3 fail and millions more are unemployed.

What are you doing to fight the NEXT GREAT DEPRESSION!

Sorry but Cheap gas is not going to fix ANYTHING. Why is it that I pay all my bills but they wont lower my interest rate to 3% like they are for the people with giant house they cant afford. This country is in BIG BIG TROUBLE.

Anyone want to buy my business? Business in a box ready to go. If you have an extra $80 grand a year I might even come work for you part time.
.... I can give you my opinion but I can't tell you if it's right or not.

Capitalism isn't the best system, just the least worse. :)
