Printing Stickers Newbie

Post by acraig »

hi,

I'm a newbie to printing. I am looking to print vinyls to stick onto motorbikes. However i don't have any specialist equipment just a basic inkjet printer, is there any way i can print stickers that are UV stable, long lasting, waterproof and have fairly permanent glue to afix them to the substrate at low cost.

I thought about printing the image on the back side of the vinyl then applying glue over it and fix it, but im not sure if this is possible?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Are you able to screen print in any way??

If so, 5900 or 9700 series Naz Dar will do the job.

If you are wanting to short cut it to just ink jet I think you're out of luck.

You can either buy a $20,000 solvent printer that will die cut or goto the local sign shop that does FULL COLOR printing on vinyl.
It will have about a 5-7 year life.
If you want them to be permanent you should stick them on the bike and have the bike UV Clear Coated.

I ride an 07' Busa.... ALL CUSTOM
.... I can give you my opinion but I can't tell you if it's right or not.
