Question about Screen printing on polished stainless

Post by motobilt »

Hi, I have a need to screen print on polished stainless steel sheet, if anyone has done this and could lend a hand, I would appreciate it,
Questions are:

what kind of ink will adhere best to this surface?

Is there any special surface prep needed?

I have been told red fades badly when exposed to the elements, I would like to use red in the design, is there a UV coating or a better type of ink/paint to use to aviod the fading?

Thanks for any input!!

Off the top of my head I would think a catalyzed 9700 from nazdar would do it. Having said that, contact nazdar and see if they have a better solution.
