printing on skateboard decks

i'm planning to print on concaved maple ply skateboards but am not sure how. any tips? thanks

I'm also interested in learning this process. I did a little research on google and found this great page with a tutorial for printing on a skateboard. Hope this helps!

the skate and annoy site is pretty good for getting started. I would suggest starting with a flat screen. get them prestretched at 8 newton (low tension). if you use "regular" tensions screens you will never get the edges of the board. here are a few pics of how my rig is set up. the board with the helmet on it is an old board I use as my base. I have cross bars on it to help with positioning and what not.

I then load the board I want to screen on the base (i did the fade with rattle can). I have a pin in the top and bottom truck holes to hold it in place.

I have my rig set with a .25" gap between the board and the screen to get a decent pop.

you need to grab the blade of the squeegee when you pull the ink. you cannot pull it like a t-shirt. it takes a lot of practice but it can be done. I use 60 d squeegees.

For a full deck print you need a special screen, im trying to work this out as well

Thanks for the skateboard tips. I am a beginner skateboarder, and i want to go to the skatepark soon. I want to make sure am ready. I like that you mentioned to go early in the morning initially if you want some privacy. I will be sure to take him early.how to beginner skateboard tricks?

I'm likewise keen on learning this procedure. I did a little research on google and discovered this incredible page with an instructional exercise for imprinting on a skateboard.
