If you have seen any of my recent posts you know i have no clue about printing onto vinyl. I am just wondering if someone can give me or direct me to somewhere where there is a detailed description of the process AND what the proper materials needed are.
Here is what i need to know.

-What type of ink...Solvent, UV, Plastisol?
-Where can i get vinyl stock?
-What sort of environment is needed, fresh air, heat cure?

Thanks

Solvent ink, air dry, try your local paper house or flexcon or tubelite, etc. for stock. It's been a while since I screenprinted vinyl ( I use my solvent inkjet print roll to roll now) but I used to get stock from Mac Papers.

I've wanted to move into this arena for a while and though I've never screened onto vinyl, I've cut weeded and hung hundreds of feet (project: My Pop Your Pop Our Pop We're Pop) [url][http://www.studiomiguel.com/The-Art-of- ... thumbs/url] all of which I've sourced from uscutter.com. I've tried various substrates and can highly recommend Oracal 651. White, obviously. I've tried plain ole water inks on glossy, with expected results (scraps right off!!). My next effort will involve solvent/vinyl inks.
