Disk printing?

Post by Renegade »

I Have a small company in peterborough Ontario Canada. I do audio recording and design and Screen printing. I screenprint on cd's using MP (like for vinyl)ink and my vacumn table. It stays on and is sharp, but I have to be super quick, I cant do multicolor and I set them out on a table and they are sooo toxic. I want to get into disk duplication and better printing, cause no one else in town does this and we are packed full of artists.
So what sort of ink and machines/ tequniques are used in the Pro level?
Are there any canadian companies that deal with this equipment? Does anyone have crafty DIY hints? This stuff is nasty, messy and cancerous but profitable. I would like to remove the first three of those.

Good Post!
I am curious to see the answers you get. I will put a call into my buddy that works at Sony print disks.
.... I can give you my opinion but I can't tell you if it's right or not.

Some disk screenprinters:
http://www.kammann.de/html/us/e-index.2.html
http://www.hanky.com.tw/
http://www.guannyinn.com.tw/en/main_en.htm

Encres Dubuit should have something in Canada but they don't have any nice website.

I may post a video of our diskprinter in action if you want.
