Fonts

Post by NEEDHELP! »

Hi, I am new to this forum but have been interestingly 'eavesdropping' for the last couple of days. How long does it take you all to learn the different fonts? I want to make some sample shirts for a business I know that may get me future orders but I do not know my fonts. I have searched high and low and the closest I am getting is Onyx. Would be very grateful if anyone could help me out.
Thanks.

Try the forum @ AbstractFonts.com, they are very helpful in finding the exact fonts or something close.

When I have to find a specific font, I crop the font out, save it as a jpg file and upload it to: http://www.whatthefont.com (easier to remember) or http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ (the page the first link forwards to).

Upload the file. With a good resolution file, it's pretty accurate. It'll tell you what your font is.

Another site that is useful is more of a manual site, but you can type the word KENNELS in all caps and it will ask you a series of questions regarding those letters and the capitals, no lowercase. http://www.identifont.com

I see DaFonts.com listed which is a very good site. FontSpace.com is another. I like how you can specify seeing only fonts ok for commercial use.
