I want to start using sales reps to bring in more biz. Does anyone do this and if so how does payment work. I was thinking of a % of everything they bring it but I don't know what % would work. your thoughts would be appreciated.

That's a good idea to expand more biz, while regarding the commission, i think it depends on the value of your products and market situation. If your products are popular in your region and have big value per unit, commision will be below the average level, vice versa.

Good luck to you.

I've been told before that Sales Reps in the apparel industry make 7% of PROFIT, not of total sale, of PROFIT. I've never done it or hired someone, so please don't get mad at me if I'm wrong :)

It's a great way to spread the word of your business without paying a lot of money upfront as you would with advertising.

It would probably be cheaper to see if you could print your company logo on some t's for a little league. You sponsor the uniforms, they advertise for you.
