Right Stuff? KIT!

Post by repda916 »

OK here is the Deal I wanted to mess around with some "Screen printing" On T-SHIRTS....So I picked up the Speedball fabric Kit ( Image )

And had a Few Q's. I read the Book it came with and it talks about a few methods, paper stencil, and the photographic emulsion. I want to do the Photographic emulsion but the fabric on the frame dosent look like the stuff I need. This is my Q. How do i know if i have the right Fabric to do the Photographic emulsion? Also should I have bought some more emulsion b/c it looks like they only give you just the right amount for ONE TIME USE!:P

My suggestion would be to find a shop near you and befriend the owner so maybe you could observe what screenprinting involves. A Huntley/Speedball kit is the tip of the iceberg. Barely.

Gawd! I haven't seen one of those in years!!

Last one had touche' instead of emulsion.
Then they went to lacquer film and them to BluePoly.

Thank God I was never forced to use one!!
