Using heat transfer vinyl to make screen

Post by Fred-in-the-shed »

Is it possible to use heat transfer textile vinyl to make a screen. I need a screen for a fairly simple design. I'm new to screen printing
and have a vinyl plotter but no exposure unit. Thanks

I wouldn't use heat transfer. You can use cheap calendered vinyl to make a stencil in an open screen. Cut in reverse, apply to garment side of screen, let it rip.

Thanks, but I need just one screen for a long run, the calendered vinyl method doesn't produce a durable screen.
