white ink

Post by mrfun »

Hi.
I'm looking for the most opaque white ink to print onto black cotton.
I guess that plastisol would work best.
What do you use?
Thanks.

Any particular brand of white ink?
Does extender affect opacity?
Thanks.

Extender makes the white printable. Flashing makes it opaque.

There is an ink that contains an oxidant that neutralizes the black dye of the fabric. It is like having an ink with a built-in bleach. The ink is water based. Contact Nazdar.Com

i use lo-bleed diamond white by union ink. you will have to flash the shirt between your double print. depending on how detailed the artwork is i alwas expose white imprints on either a 110 mesh screen or sometimes even as low as an 83 mesh screen.

Hi

have you considered an different approach to your problem. I have tried few options based on inkjet transfer just trying to make thing faster simpler and cheeper. Here is an inexpensive alternative. Just take a look at this sample. Tel me what you you think about this as alternative to silk printing. The whole investment for start up package is less then $ 200 for printer + Teflon transfer paper + 30 pl inkjet print head cartridge + white powder of white foil

I have just started screen printing and I've been using "Squakee" which is M. Graham's ink. Its easy to work with, blocks well ( not sure if that matters for what you are doing) but it seems to be pretty opaque, white and matches their inks really well. It works great on black shirts as the shirts I am printing on so far soak up the ink pretty quickly. I haven't tried other brands of screenprinting ink, but this one was easy to work around during my first print job ever :]
