Mixing conventional and plastisol inks

Post by preflash »

Hi all, new here.

I've always been less than confident about printing on nylon garments. Even using nylobond an other nylon additives. I've done a considerable amount graphic or sign printing as well a textile printing and was thinking of getting some clear conventional ink to mix with my nylon ink mix.

Just wondering if anyone else has tried this.

We have had some success adding white conventional ink (Nazdar 9700 maybe) to poly in a situation where we needed to flash a white underbase so we could print a halftone over top. The mixture really cut down on flash time which was necessary because the substrate was a cheap, thin reuseable grocery bag.

I figure clear should work the same but be more versatile color wise.
