HEAT GUNS???

Post by RAWRRR!CLOTHING »

Are you able to use a heat gun to cure plastisol ink. Heres the link for the gun....

http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/sto ... =100371401

It has 2 heat settings for 750 1000 F.

I was wondering if any of you guys/girls ever use a heat gun to cure your ink.

Any info will help. Thanks

Yeah a heat gun works it just takes forever. For small runs it will be fine, for large ones you might want to eventually invest in a flash dryer. Watch this video to see how to cure with a heat gun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2p_gXRBD2jY

I agree a flash dryer is more reliable and quicker for curing plastisol. If you use a heat just make sure that all of the ink achieved 320 degrees for curing.
