Printing on pint glasses

Is this impossible to do manually? I'm trying to be creative but very, very efficient.

yeah.... possible.

Anything you have ever seen or touched is possible.... think about it.

I believe there are special things required but I have never done any so I really cant tell ya.

We did do a lot of ceramic beer steins with dye sublimation. I have a mug press if you care to buy it

How many are you looking to do?

Many times it's much cheaper and less
stress to just farm out jobs like this.

The learning curve on cylindrical
items can be quite steep.

We still have an old Jiffy Cylinder jig around here somewheres.
It was originally designed to print on shell casings for
artillery pieces.

Rick, you remember Uncle Frank from Advance, don't you?

You'll be printing on a tapered surface
so the art has to be manipulated as well.

If you want it to hold up wash after wash
they'll have to be fired in a dryer with enough headroom
for them to stand up.

I was thinking with starting with about 50.

I've priced them at several places and the shipping ends up costing more than the glass.

They don't have to be perfect, they are for a DIY roller derby team, I'm just trying to figure out how to go about it...

If you need 50 pcs. make sure you get a few extra to try out the printing on first. (set-up parts) You may drop a few and you know what happens to glass when it is dropped. If you are not that critical on the quality of the printing you may get by with a manual. However, you will have to heat the glass after it is printed and follow all the instructions your ink supplier gives as to ink mixture.
I would love to help you but the volume is too small for me.
