teacher needs help!

Post by shainasue »

i'm teaching screen printing to high school students

when using the knife cut ulano film how do you cut your stencils?

do you cut out the larger image and then patch pieces of film back in as you print?

i need help with this asap. i never did the films...i always use emulsion but it isn't possible in my classroom.

Not sure exactly what you're asking from your post. Using knife cut films is tedious at best by hand. You need a film for every color. Once film is adhered to fabric, that's it. Cut in negative so your print is positive. Given more info I can be more specific.

That's all I needed actually. I was thinking that you could cut the film and use the same piece, just patching it in.

A film for each color works though.

Thanks.
