Classes

Post by RBS76 »

I am a graphic designer living in Central New York (Syracuse) and am interested in learning about screen printing, perhaps eventually purchasing the needed equipment for my home studio. I wonder if anyone knows of any classes in the area (I've been searching!). I would really love to learn hands-on, but if that's not possible - are there any particular video classes, manuals, technique books, etc. that you would recommend? I know very little, as the only experience I've had with screen printing was a 10 week media class in high school. Any suggestions? Advice would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Contact Tim Palese in Sherrill, NY, which is just down the road from you. Tim knows more about screenprinting and graphic design than anyone in your area. He is a T-shirt artist and more, actually a trained illustrator who does T-shirt work. You can see some of his work at http://timpalese.com which is linked to his snowmobile site timmythehermit.com. You can reach him through the site. Tell him Bill Hood said hello from Texas!!!

Also, visit http://screenprintinganswers.com for free articles and http://screenprintstore.com for more articles, books and tutorials on building your own equipment.
