Could someone tell me why when I print a shirt the ink bleeds though the shirt? Should I use a finer mesh? I am using Triangle black with 110 mesh and it leaves the imprint on the board. I have been an offset printer for 15 years and just took the jump. It has been great but I still have a lot of questions.
A small amount of bleed through is to be expected. Shirts are porous. Clean pallets every once in a while and reapply tack as needed so you don't burn ink into platen with flash. Be careful not to flash too long as well. Other than that, unless your ink is thin enough to just soak through and ruin print, don't worry about it.
Thanks. You have all been a great help. I am printing for an athetlic lettering place so they supply all the shirts. It is nice to have steady work coming in. I just started out and do not have a lot of my own clients yet. THANKS AGAIN.
