Set me Straight

Post by Chako4031 »

Hello All,

Newb here.

I have recently started trying to make my owns screens. I put emulsion on, let it dry in darksafe room. after it drys 24 hours, in a dark safe room i apply my artwork and burn for 17 mins-25 mins under a halogen 500watt bulb. Where i am struggling is when i take it outside(yes outside) and spray with powerwash it blows the emulsion off in some critical areas. Font etc. Am I, either over exposing/under exposing. Should I not be taking screen that was just burnt out of a light safe room?

Art is very basic and as dark as I can get it pre print in Illustrator. Within the next week I will have my washout booth setup in light safe area if that is a key component I am missing. Some screens have been fine though going outside but I have a few areas that were removed buy the power washer i had to tape up.

Any help/ advice would be greatly appreciated.
