exposure glass

Post by nilbog »

Hi,

I need to buy a light box for tracing and would also like to try screen-printing in the near future. I was hoping to get something that would be suitable for both.
The light box I have my eye on at the moment has florescent globes which I can change, but it has a frosted glass for the top. This is preferred for tracing etc, but
I notice most exposure units have clear glass. Would frosted glass be a a major problem? I could possibly get the maker to change it to clear for me if so.

I completely new to screen printing so I would be experimenting with curing times etc. and do not mind if one method takes longer only the the results would be comparable.

thanks!

edit: I think the box top may actually be a white/milky perspex.

The frosting is going to cause light scattering and poor resolution

OK thanks. At the worst I can unscrew remove the original glass and lay regular glass on top as required.
