Copyright law

Post by Jimmygott »

Hi guys, I'm really interested in some advice please. Where do I stand legally with regards to printing children's tv characters on tshirts etc.

For example printing bob the bolder on a white tees and selling it. Is there laws forbidding this

Cheers folks

Print copyrighted material at your own peril. Disney and Harley in particular are known to be vicious in their handling of violators. I bought a used heat press from a hick that was hustling Coca-Cola knockoffs at a flea market, and he told me they sent some muscle to visit him. Luckily, he skated with them taking only the merch he had on hand that day after he told them that's all he had printed.
These companies have lawyers on retainer with nothing better to do than make your life miserable. Disney has been know to go after mom and pop day care centers that had Disney characters painted on the building.
