Hi there-
I am using water-based inks (mostly speedball) and allowing to air dry (8-12 hours) before ironing my designs. The problem I am having is that the image that I printed leaves a ghosted yellow image on the back of my white t-shirts or, if I have a tea towel folded over, on the folded part of the tea towel. Last week, one of my designs actually got a yellowish halo around it as it dried.
I am not thinning my inks at all. Why is this happening and what can I do to prevent it? It looks messy and is driving me nuts.
Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks-
Brooke

Try flash drying your image. If you don't have a flash use a hair dryer to sent the ink. Then iron using a piece of teflon fabric between iron and image. If that don't work try another speedball ink.
