I've recently gotten into screen printing mostly to print t-shirts and posters. I'm really hung up a pretty complex shirt design. I have it burned onto a 110 mesh and it looks great on the screen. Problem is that when I print on the shirts it not only sticks to the shirt (and then pulls with the shirt), but it also leaves the print extremely blotchy. I've tried adjusting the pressure that I pull with, as well as the angles. I don't have a pro-platen or anything, just a make shift one. Also, I am doing this without a press.
I don't have a ton of shirts to print, just a few to make sure I know what I'm doing so any help would be awesome! Thanks all!

How high is your screen from the shirt?

It's sitting on the shirt because I don't have any type of stand/station.

You need to lift the screen off the shirt, it only touches when the squeegee goes over.

Thanks Tom,
I'm going to work with this a bit more. Really trying to find a decent 1 or 2 color tabletop press that I can use.

Just get some card to raise the screen for starters.
