Hi
Have you been able to figure this out?
I have a small Tampoprint at work, and though I have little experience with it, maybe I can ask questions for you?

If you have a pad printing machine with a magnetic ink cup, the aluminum plates will not attract the magnet. Also, aluminum plates are pretty rare in the marketplace - maybe you should be using polymer plates or a laser etched plate. Look at www.inkcups.com
