Hi all,
Very new to screen printing, but taking on the challenge. One issue I have come across
Is when I have applied the ink and am ready to lift the frame away the
Tshirt lifts. Creasing the design.
I am lifting the screen about 20 seconds after inking, should
I maybe leave the screen on the shirt to dry a little while?
Any advice to get round this would be great.
Ohhh, I'm currently using water based inks, which are pretty thick.
Maybe I should use different inks?
Thanks in advance...

Re: t-shirt lifting when removing screen
I'm a graphic designer, but I interface with the screen printer somewhat. I know he sprays some tacky substance on the pallet to help keep the shirt down. Don't think leaving the screen down to let it dry is a good idea. Ink drying in the screen will mess your image up after a while. I'm curious about your inks. Plastisol is thick. Water-based inks, from what I've seen are relatively thin. Good luck. Don't be afraid to experiment.

You need some spray adhesive. You should also have some distance (off contact) between the screen and pallet so that the screen snaps off the shirt directly behind the squeegee.
