I dont know what I am doing wrong...perhaps it is the ink I'm using?
I'm using Speedball water based ink on a gildan t-shirt. A basic t-shirt. And I'm heat setting by setting my oven to 400 degrees, turning it off, and then placing the shirt on a cookie sheet.
After a few washes though, the design starts to "tear" with the shirt fabric: does that make sense?
I have heard of additives you can put in the ink (to make it more elastic)...is that what I'm missing? Or do you recommend another ink?
Thanks,

Re: Ink not holding up well...
First thing I would do is stop using Water based ink!!!
Re: Ink not holding up well...
I use a mesh count of 110...your mesh sounds ok as well as the type of squeegees your using the only other thing i can think of that might be causing you this problem is your washout, make sure that your screen has been washed out thoroughly because sometimes if you havent washed out the screen properly the ink will not flow through as the emulsion may still be covering bits of the design....
