How do I cover scratches in emulsion after exposure?

Post by jbd123 »

Hi everyone,
I am relatively new to screenprinting and I have made a few of my own DIY frames and covered them with emulsion, exposed them, etc.

I accdentially scratched a few of the screens as I was washing off the exposed emulsion to get my print. How can I cover these areas so that ink will not bleed through?

Also, I am using speedball emulsion...is there a better brand that is possibly less expensive (at least less expensive for the amount you can get)?

Thank you in advance!

You can cover open spots in emulsion with emulsion on a small brush , blockout, tape. You can get small containers of emulsion from nazdar.
