Re: Cleaning screens
how long are you leaving it sit in the screen after completion of the print?
.... I can give you my opinion but I can't tell you if it's right or not.

Re: Cleaning screens
This is an old post but if it helps we use Greeneway. Rub it on your screen with one of those red sponges, let sit for 3 minutes and rinse away. If that doesn't take care of it I don't know what will.

Re: Cleaning screens
My question is about oil based ink? What to use to clean it off the mesh and can I find it locally like at a home depot or something?
Re: Cleaning screens
I use Easisolve 120 which is carried by Easiway systems and no your not going to find it at home depot. But you might try paint thinner then hit it with acetone. These you can find at home depot or lowes. The only issue with acetone or any ketone based cleaner is that they are fast and may have a tendancy to freeze the ink in the mesh. So always use a slow solvent to do your intial clean up and use acetone last just to remove the slower solvents residue. You can always use the inks thinner or retarder to wash your screen up with as well a little spendy but it works.
Let us know how it goes.

Xylene is available at local hd, haven't seen it at lowes. It's what I use for 9700 and 7900 from nazdar. A good haze remover after removing emulsion at washout can do wonders as well.
