Ink Color Changing with Wash

Post by Kerrby »

Hello, I have been having trouble with curing my shirts. In particular I am using Scarlet Red ink and after washing it is looking orange. The ink isn't cracking so I'm not sure it is a curing problem -- I have a temperature gun coming in a day or two. The shirts are too hot to even hold when they come out of the dryer -- can they be over cured? Thanks for any advice!

What brand of ink are you using?
What type of shirt and color? 50/50 or 100% cotton?

Could it be your eye playing tricks on you?
.... I can give you my opinion but I can't tell you if it's right or not.

Well, I feel silly now. It definately looks orange coming out of the washing machine but if I dry the shirt it looks red again. Problem solved!
