Vacuum Table Sucks, but not enough

Post by workshy »

Hey There, I have just picked up some flat stock gear after years of textile printing and am having a problemm with the stock sticking to the back of the screen and lifting off the table. I have my off contact and ink consistency right so think it is probably a lack of suction.
My table came without a motor so i just put an old vacuum cleaner to the pipe, but doesn't seem to be grunty enough.
Ideas?

I'll just run thru a few thoughts.

Unused holes taped off?
Is the vac dirt bag empty?
Switch to another vac and see if it improves.
Go to Walmart and buy the small Shop-Vac.
They work quite well.

How big is your print area? A small vacuum might not be enough for a large table. Check holes are not clogged with small nail or pin. Check hoses and junctions for leaks.

My vacuum was just too weak.
Girlfriend not too happy that her new vacuum has been appropriated though!
